Time to plan

As the cold weather creeps up on us all, and we watch our gardens go to sleep for the winter, now is the perfect time to join with your neighbors in making plans to have Brooklyn Centre become a Certified National Community Wildlife Habitat.

 A Community Wildlife Habitat is a community that provides habitat for wildlife throughout the community--in individual backyards, on school grounds and in public areas such as parks, community gardens, places of worship and businesses. It is a place where the residents make it a priority to provide habitat for wildlife by providing the four basic elements that all wildlife need: food, water, cover and places to raise young. 

Our goal is to not only create new wildlife habitats, but to also restore the abundant natural habitats located in our garden community of Brooklyn Centre. If you love gardening and connecting with people in your community, then join us on Saturday, October 11^th at 2:00pm at the Old Brooklyn Library,3706 Pearl Rd, Brooklyn Centre, Ohio 44109. We will be discussing our goals and finalizing our registration application for our Brooklyn Centre Habitat Restoration Initiative.
