I have another compilation of books relevant to the BCNWC (Brooklyn Centre National Wildlife Community), this one on Library Thing at http://www.librarything.com/catalog/BCNWC
Library Thing shows you other people who have the same interests as you all do.
Laura's listing at http://www.worldcat.org/profiles/Lmcshane/lists/449989 shows which other libraries have the books that support your interests.
These two lists are complementary.
If you want access to Library Thing for BCNWC, call me and I'll give you the magic word so that you, too, can add to the collaborative compilation.

I am sorry Tim that I did not set up the Worldcat account as a multiple user account. I can do that...I don't recommend LibraryThing, because it requires the participant to basically catalog the book and why should you have to do that?

As you pointed out, LibraryThing is a more open system, by its nature. It invites collaboration and synergy. It can exist as a multiuser account with just the sharing of passwords.
It's also a form of publicity for BCNWC, giving it more public visibility and more exposure.

And, Laura, remember that this is a world of infinite abundance, and not a zero-sum proposition; it invites "both/and" and is not limited to "either/or."
Inclusive/exclusive.
Integrating/separating.
Uniting/dividing.
It participates in a world view that favors networks over hierarchies. The trick is to keep a foot in both as the culture shifts.
