National Wildlife Benefit Days at Borders December 18-20

 

I sent this email out to our Brooklyn Centre Naturalists mailing list and decided today to extend the invitation to our blog readers.

 

Happy Holidays Everyone!

I am a firm believer in the adage "Things happen for a reason".  This story exemplifies WHY I believe the saying.  Four times a year National Wildlife Federation (NWF) wildlife community coordinator Roxanne Paul has a conference call.  I have signed up many times and  have made it to very few.  Last week, I happened to be on the computer when a reminder popped up--the call was in 20 minutes.  There I was with the time and opportunity to make it.

Imagine my surprise when we were told that Borders will donate 15% of each and every sale December 18 (Saturday) thru December 20 (Monday) to NWF.  Online sales qualify too.  Books are always a big part of the gifts that Tim and I give each year to family and friends.  This year I can support one of my favorite foundations while doing one of the things I like best-giving books.

The vouchers can be printed and presented at a Borders store or used for online purchases.  Share them with family and friends.  The more purchases made; the more NWF and future generations benefit.   Books are ALWAYS a great gift.
